Many parents and students are overwhelmed by the process of getting accommodations in school for learning disabilities, depression, anxiety, or other issues. Many existing 504 or IEPs utilize basic standard accommodations, but each child is unique and needs goals and accommodations focused on his or her exact struggles. Kristin’s work in developmental psychopathology and cognitive neuroscience allows her to work with families, students, and schools to better understand a child’s profile and the best way to structure supports in school and at home.
Kristin works with families to discuss the options available, attends and advocates at IEP and 504 meetings, and ensures both that a student understands how to advocate for his/her needs and that the school is providing the services needed for that student to succeed.
Our coaches and The Hub are experienced in helping student’s use the accommodations provided.
